Dear readers,
It’s been three months since I embarked on the journey of writing this newsletter. And although I am enjoying this new experience, I also thought it was time for a bit of reflection. I have been thinking about how I can improve my writing, what I want to write about in the future, what my readers might enjoy and what frequency is best for me to publish the newsletter.
And here is what I came up with:
One thing I enjoy, when I am reading other people’s newsletters or blogs is their recommendation section. I always find it inspiring and interesting to see what other writers have read, watched and listened to. I often stumble upon a quote, song or video I like so much that I think this needs to be shared. So, I decided to add a little recommendation section to my newsletter as well. And I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.
The main topic will remain as open as before. I will keep sharing stories about my creative process, new things I’ve learned and photos and videos I have been creating for my personal projects.
And in order to create the best and most enjoyable content for you, I decided to give myself a bit more time for every post and publish every two weeks from now on.
I also would love to hear if you have any suggestions for me. Please leave a comment if you have any tips, thoughts or ideas for me. Thank you!
Tomorrow I am going on a trip to Denmark for a week, which I am very excited about. I’ve already packed my camera gear which is a big accomplishment. It is much harder for me to decide which camera and lens to pack than choosing the clothes I might need. I am sure everyone who has more than one camera or lens knows what I am talking about. Anyway, I hope to get some great photographs and video footage to share with you.
And as mentioned above - here are the things I thought are worth sharing with you:
A video of a starling murmuration. I literally got goosebumps watching this. This would be a dream to experience this in-person one day.
Claire from Creatively Conscious wrote in her newsletter why the Substack App is a great tool for readers and writers. Read about it here.
I just finished reading this book and really enjoyed it.
I haven’t heard this song in forever, and now it’s been on replay all week. So good!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s newsletter.
As always: Thank you for being here.
Susanne
Lovely post! I hear you. I’ve been contemplating what my followers would enjoy most. I’ve decided that my content will reflect what I do best and that being by the coast and capturing it, lots of recommendations for people who want to visit the coast of Wales plus journaling workshops and interviews with writers who I collaborate with on my writing retreats. Is that too much I wonder? 🫤
The video of the Starling murmuration was amazing ❣️Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
