After a long stretch of rainy and stormy days, we finally got some sunny weather. Although I don’t mind the grey days, the sunshine on my skin feels really good and energizing. Those mornings when I can grab my camera and dog and flee into the woods for a long walk are invaluable.
For a few hours, I can just be there in the moment, enjoying the things around me: the warmth of the sun, the fresh air, the frost that sparkles like fairy dust in the sunlight, the chirping of the birds. Nothing else matters. At least not now.
It feels like a luxury to me, and I am grateful for every minute I can spend this way. May your days be filled with little moments like these too!
“True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not.”
― Seneca
I hope you enjoy the little video I made.
