Photographing the beauty in the mundane

This week’s photos were made on a hike at a former military training area in the woods which has been turned into a nature preserve fifteen years ago. There is very little evidence of its former use besides the massive concrete roads and once you are off those roads it is a beautiful place to wander around.

I started My visual journal as an addition to my regular newsletter to share the photos I have taken during the week on my walks. The overall idea is “more photos, less words”. It will be send out every other week, alternating with my regular newsletter which is about different topics, but mainly about art, photography and the creative process.
