Oh that looks a lovely area Susanne!! Gorgeous natural images. I’m currently reading ‘A line in the world by Dorthe Nors which has made google so many images of the Danish coast😀

It looks so lovely and remote there Susanne and of course the images are beautifully treated with gorgeous tones. That leaning tree and the one with the puddle both draw me to them. Hope you're having a lovely break.

Thank you, Lin! The vacation is almost over. Enjoying our last full day today.

Lovely photos, Susanne. I hope you are having (or have had) a great time going back there. It looks pretty bleak but in a beautiful sort of way.

I was in London yesterday - just a day trip to get out of the house. I made a few snaps which will be the start of my own "visual journal". I might pull one together monthly - at least to begin with.

Thank you, Paul! I had a good time. I agree with you about the bleakness - I like to say undramatic, though. It’s possibly the reason why I like it so much.

Have fun creating your own visual journal. It is an interesting experience for me.

really, really love the colours of these photos!

Thank you, my friend. The area has the most beautiful colour palette in winter.

Is there an ocean hiding behind those hills? Looks like very sandy soil.

Susanne Helmert's avatar

The North Sea is a view kilometers away. But yes, the soil is very sandy perfect for pines and heather.

Reminds me of NW Michigan, very special environment.

I haven’t been to NW Michigan, but NW Denmark is a special place!
