My Visual Journal #75
Human Desires
Sometimes it boggles my mind how we can destroy the very things we love most. I guess human desire knows no boundaries…
And then, amongst all of it, this…
I started “My Visual Journal” as an addition to my regular newsletter to share the photos I take during my walks during the week. The overall idea is “more photos, fewer words.” Over time, I realized it is also a great way to practice curating, selecting, and sequencing a set of photographs and building a short narrative with them.
I send out a new edition every other week, alternating with my regular newsletter, which covers various topics but primarily focuses on art, photography, and the creative process.
Here is the link to past editions of “My Visual Journal”.
As always, thank you for being here! ❤️
X,
Susanne

I love the way you use little words and used your images to document the story, Susanne. The little clip at the end just warmed my heart. I thought of the same thing this morning. We have a lot of visitors here for the World Cup and an unusual amount of street noise, litter and construction to accommodate— this construction is non-stop in general. As a results, a lot of trees are coming down. So this morning, I was trying to have a quiet Sunday moment listening to the birds in my backyard. Traffic sounds early felt distressful. What a disruption! How humans trample on nature. Greed and power... And yet, nature keeps trying. Thank you for sharing this.
I see these photos as very compassionate from your side towards those trees and nature. Thanks for the walk:)
