if they would let me share a photo to reply... i'd share a painting my daughter had made for me of a photo of my pupper wearing my hat--yes I've become this person somehow--which means a great deal to me now she's gone. No one prepares us for the bonds we make with these animals. I strangely am mostly unmoved by almost all the photos of her I have. But this one once done in paint became less literal, less ouch. maybe. I rate Ben 10/10.

I always wanted a dog. But I really didn’t know what it meant to have a dog until I got Ben. The bond is really something special. But you have experience it, before you even can imagine what it means. Thank you for sharing your story (even if it is without the picture!)

I miss my dog who did not like to be photographed. Maybe another dog would.

Ben has been used to it from puppy age on. I know a lot of dogs who avoid to look into the camera, but they are a lot of tricks to get them to do it.

Dogs are the best! And I’m a very overprotective dog mom 😊

They definitely are! ❤️

Your dog is very cooperative. Beautiful work.

He really is the best! When we are out for a walk, he often will sit on a tree stump or so and waits to have his photo taken! 😃He is a photographer dog since day 1 (he is now ten years with me)!

It goes so fast. We have two dogs, but I'm not sure they would be suck cooperative subjects

Love it! The photos you made are great... and I feel it. Our dog had surgery just a month ago and it was the most stressful time.

Not long ago, couple of years I think, Magnum put out a Magnum Dogs book. It’s a lovely companion to Erwitt’s collection.

Yes, it is stressful. I always feel so bad taking him to the Vet. He never complains. I hope your dog feel better by now!

Yeah, she's better than ever. Wee rascal. :)

Scratch that! I just realized it’s sitting on the top of the pile of your top photo :)
