It is, I feel, what makes photography so addictive - not the photographs themselves, often, but the discovery of something to point your camera at and click!
i like this idea. reminds me how i started sharing, after falling in love with a walk through durham county. it would be nice to get back to that myself, honestly, there’s a flow to walking shooting then sharing i love, maybe when storm season is over ツ
Yes I love this, I love seeing your photography. I’m a pictures girl so love getting to see more imagery in posts here and your photographs are beautiful 💛
Emily, thank you so much! I am glad you enjoy my photos. I am a visual person too and something I just want to enjoy some photos without a ton of reading.
I left photography behind for a decade, and it was early-pandemic walks like this that brought me back. Now it's all I do 24/7. Those photo walks have a lot to answer for, and I have a lot to thank them for. There is beauty in the mundane, certainly. :)
Cool new section in your newsletter. And regarding the traces of mankind in nature, we Dutch call this Olifantenpaadjes (Elephants paths). Just some made up shortcuts to protest against inefficientcy, haha.
Marcel, I am glad you like the new addition. And thanks for sharing this little blip with me. I don‘t think we have a word like this in German, but I love it!

Yes, the joy of just being out there with your camera and paying attention to the world around you…

Do it! I would love it!
This is a great idea. A nice way to just get oneself out there.
Yes! And sometimes I just don‘t feel like writing a lot, but just share a few images. So, this is a great way to do it!

Thank you, Neil! These walks give me so much more than just a photograph. I really enjoy doing them.
