Ever since I bought myself this small compact camera I have been almost daily on walks with it. I really enjoy it. It encourages me to pay more attention to my surroundings while I am outside. There is so much beauty to be found in the mundanity of everyday life. One just has to pay attention to it.
And because I have taken so many images lately, I decided to add a new section to my newsletter. I call it “My visual journal”. It will be my playground for different approaches to photography. But unlike my private journals I am sharing this one with you.
This weeks journal is filled with photos from a walk in one of my favorite woods. Just while editing and selection them for this weeks newsletter I noticed that most of them have some sort of traces of mankind in it. I must have subconsciously felt drawn to it that day.
“My visual journal” will be send out every other week, alternating with my regular newsletter which is about different topics, but mainly about art, photography and the creative process.
I hope you will enjoy this new addition! I would love to hear from you what you think. Please share it in the comments with me.
If you enjoyed it, please support me by subscribing to my newsletter, liking the post, and sharing it with friends.
It would mean a lot to me!
X,
Susanne
It is, I feel, what makes photography so addictive - not the photographs themselves, often, but the discovery of something to point your camera at and click!
i like this idea. reminds me how i started sharing, after falling in love with a walk through durham county. it would be nice to get back to that myself, honestly, there’s a flow to walking shooting then sharing i love, maybe when storm season is over ツ
