I love your photos of pathways, pavedways and stairways. They all beckon.
I find it fascinating that these photos still hold a monochromatic quality to them. I don't know what it is, the light treatment maybe, but they still feel like they're your usual black and white.
Maybe, I don't know but you've reached a very difficult thing to do. Usually photographers have a recognisable style either in colour or in monochrome. But to make both styles similar in style and aesthetic is complicated.
Everything is green now, and yet its already the summer solstice. At 50 we uprooted and moved from Scotland to the US and started a whole new adventure. Enjoy your birthday and many more trips around the sun…keep chasing the light..
Wow, that is quite the move: Scotland to Florida. Not sure, if I would want to live in Florida, but I hope you are happy there. I will visiting FL in November for the first time.
A lovely set of images Susanne - I especially like those taken in the Hirschpark. We lived in Blankenese (sadly, not in the treppenviertel) and were only about 10 mins walk from the Hirschpark - and visited it often - I do miss it.
We have so many beautiful parks in Hamburg. The Hirschpark is a little treasure. I am glad you enjoyed the little walk around your old neighborhood. I live in Othmarschen and I usually walk to the Jenischpark which is my favorite park. I can‘t believe we were almost neighbors once!
I saw the first picture and said ‘oooh I want to see that up close’ and then saw the second picture!

The photos were taking in a neighborhood which is built along a hillside. So many stairs and ups and downs for me that day!
