That question went through my head as I viewed your work. Oddly, there wasn't a clear answer that sprung into my mind. They are both empty without the aid of one another...
Thank you. I was photographing something and when looked down at him he was sitting there waiting for a treat for sitting nicely. I would say, the treat was well deserved sitting in this perfect spot like this! 😃
These are lovely. You've inspired me to take up black and white photography. I was thrilled to discover my large Kodak has a black and white mode. Do you edit your photos before posting or are these the raw images?
Thank you, Heather! It helps a great deal, if your camera has a built-in b&w mode. I hope you enjoy it. It is different and might need some time getting used to learn to see and find motifs for b&w, but it is a great way to see the world in a different way.
My photos aren’t raw. They are edited very minimal. I sometimes crop them, or adjust the contrast or brightness if necessary.
Thank you, Rick! It was more like the light was chasing me that morning. I had no "theme" in my head (as I never have, when I go for a walk), but these spots of light were just everywhere. And when I saw that word "Licht" ("light") at the adjacent graveyard, I knew this was a sign. 😃
Yes, right next to the park is a cemetery. I didn't investigate further because I had my dog with me. But a sign like this isn't a common thing you see in a German cemetery...
Your facility in seeing and capturing the core of everything you chose is amazing- always
For me there is something quite mesmerising about leaf shadows on tree branches and trunks - beautifully made Susanne!
Agreed! I could watch them for hours. But then my dog would get bored...
I always adore your photos. Lovely post ♥️
Awe, Thanks so much, Luka! That is so good to hear!
The light or the shadows?

Beautiful!
Beautifully said. They definitely both need each other like yin and yang.
That dog is precious, as are those shadows.
Thank you! He is very special!
my favourite was no.4 until i saw the light on ben's face - awesome!

Wonderful shots as always Susanne. For a moment I thought the first sign reads LIGHT. That would be cool!
Thanks, Xavi! It actually says light, just in German!
Beautiful dappled light...
Thank you! I was enchanted by it too!
Beautiful light!
Thank you, Shital!

serendipity is such a reward..thanks again.
I was staring at that photo trying to imagine what is was signaling in the foliage! A graveyard? Amazing

I’ve never encountered a sign like that in any cemetery here. Fascinating to me.
