it's just so good. I think this collaboration was especially beautiful...I have a photographer friend in Atlanta who used an expired roll of ektachrome and sent it to another friend in San Francisco and the results were stunning. I wish I could find his post about it. Enjoy your break, Susanne.
Yeah, I really like the colour version too! If you find the link feel free to share it. I have done this with friends from Detroit and Chicago before too. But we used Holgas and it was much trickier.
Thanks so much, Darin. The trick is to get an empty roll from your local lab which still has bits of the old film sticking out. The photos are printed on thin bamboo paper and taped together ever so slightly. I attached a piece of film at the start to make it look like it is just a roll of unexposed film. I hope this helps.
The leader at the beginning and a piece of film attached to the spool. It is pretty sturdy. I am not sure if it would have worked attaching it to film stock. I think it would have been too thick.
that zine is awesome!!!
Thank you!
It really is. So cool!
Thank you, Neil!
Like these collaborations. Lots of interesting outcomes.
Thank you, Marcel! It is always fun to see what is on these rolls when they come back!
Just getting to this, both the imagery and the zine are wonderful. Fantastic collaboration. Bravo!

That Zine is the coolest fucking thing that I have seen in many years. Could you post something regarding how you put it together?

I thought perhaps you had attached the pictures to the film-stock. Are you saying that the only film seen is the leader? Seems somewhat fragile.
