These are beautiful Susanne - it looks so peaceful, I can imagine it was wonderful to experience the fog all around you. I particularly like the pruned tree, the distant boat and sweeping curve of sand towards the trees...not forgetting Bens paw prints in the sand!😊
Thank you, Lin! I am very familiar with that place, but I had never seen it in dense fog like this. At this time of day there are always people with their dogs, but that morning we only met 2 other people/dogs. The guy in his canoe seemed to be in awe as well. He barely paddled and took it all in. It was amazing - quiet, calm and a bit otherworldly.
It's funny how people stay home in the fog - yet it brings so much more to a landscape, helping us to notice things that would otherwise be part of the busyness of nature....and of course it helps create amazing images!
Ohhh - The transition in the video from ghostly white to the faint ripples in the water, surreal reality, great job! The photos are equally subdued and even calming to me. Warmth offsetting cool tones.
It was surreal! Seeing this familiar place (we were still in the city!) turned into something so different was amazing. Everything felt muted and even time seemed to go by slower. The water of the river was so still as if effected by the weather, too!
Love hearing Ben’s snuffles. What an absolutely majestic natural area!
Thank you, Nicole! I can‘t record anything without him snuffling. It is almost hilarious…
Our gorgeous cocker spaniel had he’s own snuffle sounds. Miss them daily. Give Ben a snuggle for us!
I love Cocker spaniels! They have the most amazing eyelashes! Sorry you don‘t have your companion any more…
Yes their eyelashes are gorgeous aren’t they? Thank you Susanne. We miss him dearly.
Ben is looking very stylish! great mood and feel in these images....
Thank you! It keeps him warm, while he waits for me when I am photographing…
Beautiful, and kind of a apocalyptic vide too!
Thank you, Dan! It felt otherworldly, but in a good way…
I love seeing Ben right in the middle of this really peaceful flow of images. So perfect! Love these, Susanne.
Thank you, Juliette!
Gorgeous photos as always! I love the haze of the morning you captured.
Thanks so much, Jon! It was a beautiful morning!
Very gentle and lovely vibes. My favourites are the dog and the abstraction below it;)
Thank you, Davor!
Looks like a calm, walk but also quite eerie, like a set from a horror/sci-fi movie. Great pictures as always!
Thanks, Xavi! It wasn't eerie at all, but I can see why some people find fog unsettling...
Love the photo of your dog all wrapped up, looking out at the fog/water. Beautiful
Thank you, Shaz! He usually sits down and watches me, but that morning he turned his back to me and looked out at the water. It was very cute!

I have met non-photography people who found fog rather spooky. That might be why people tend to stay home in "bad" weather.
Love the subdued colour palette on these ..
Thank you! Everything was subdued that morning: the colours, the wind, the sounds, the view - it was wonderful! =)
Simply breathtaking!
Thank you very much!

There is a kind of opalescent milky quality to these photos that I find so alluring. I absolutely love them.
Thank you, Yasumi! I was in awe of the density of the fog that morning. It was almost as if you could touch the fog…
A beautiful morning and beautiful photos! Fog is my favorite weather for photography!
Thanks, Dave!
What a lovely morning—so peaceful looking! Ben appears very contemplative, sitting at the edge of the water and gazing into the mist.
It felt the way it looked - quiet and peaceful! It was as if the time was standing still.
Love all the images. They are beautiful and serene.
Thank you, Shital! It was absolutely amazing that morning.
