Lovely photos of what looks like a beautiful morning walk, Susanne! I specially love the images of the boardwalk centered between trees and the backlit ferns are wonderful. Of course, Ben is quite striking as he peers through the fluffy white vegetation. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Todd! I usually avoid that place, because it can be pretty crowded, but I had to drop off my husband at the airport early that morning and was near it, so I took my chance. The weather was just perfect, the cotton grass at its peak and the best of it was that we had the place to ourselves.
Thank you for taking the time to look and comment, Nicole! The plant is called cotton grass or bog grass. It grows near wet areas and is adorable. We caught it when it was still perfectly fluffy and not beaten up by the rain and wind.
It truly is remarkable! I’ve seen a YouTube video just recently that also showed cotton grass. Don’t it amazing that you never know something exists, then when you do, you begin to see it more and more?
Thanks for the lovely walk, Susanne. Hi Ben!! You're still adorable but the flowers put you in touch with your feminine side and they look good on you!
The greens, the browns, the blues in muted softness. Oh what a delight!
Thank you for your lovely comment, Yasumi! So happy you enjoyed them…
The close ups of the plants are so beautiful!
Thank you, Manuela!
Such beautiful images, Susanne. My favourite are the fern leaves with their gentle tones and beautiful light. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback, Deborah! The early morning light was just glorious!
Magical, Susanne! Love the cotton grass buds, and Ben as always!
Thank you, Martha! We visited at the right time. The cotton grass has a very short season here…
Lovely vibes; I love this natural aesthetic muse. Cool shot! ✨
Thank you, Fanny! Nature is such a big muse!
Beautiful! Cottony Ben is my favorite. Such a good boy!
Cottony Ben! 😃 I love that. And yes, he is such a good boy! ☺️
Great photos, but the ones with Ben take the cake.🎂
Thank you, Alex! It wouldn’t be a good walk without him…
Flowers and puppies, the best combination.
Agreed!
Such lovely views and feeling — but the best is pooch in the cotton grass. Made me grin.
That is great to hear! Thanks for your lovely feedback!
The highlighted ferns are beautiful!
Thank you, Luz! The ferns had the perfect light on them. I loved that play of light and shadow.

Like so many others, I say..."oh the ferns." Love them.
Haha, they are pretty amazing! Thank you, Nicole.
Your newsletter is always a reminder for me to be still and present. Love the photo of Ben with the cotton looking plant. What is that called?

Haha! I know that phenomenon. Especially with cars. You buy one and think there are not many of them around. And then they are everywhere... 😂
🤣 exactly!
Pathways of peace, Fantastic Ferns, and Ben the Beau😁
It was very peaceful. And early… 🤣
Susanne, the ferns are lovely, as are the rest of them, with a special gold star for Ben's white muzzle! Lovely walk!
Thank you for your kind comment, Søren!
