Nice work Susanne, I've been playing around with the same kind of visual formats myself on my insta feed on and off for a while now, your take gives me some well-placed inspiration to continue along for the time being and see if I can push the format a little past what I've managed to create for myself so far. Thanks.
Hey Ross, thank you for your kind words. I just looked at your IG and you are already doing a fabulous job with those diptychs. That being said, it makes me even more happy to I was able to inspire you with mine.
Lovely images Susanne - the pairings work so well, and great memories of exploring Hamburg’s wonderful parks during the eight years I lived there. My favorite park is the Hirsch Park in Blankenese.
So good to here the photos evoked some memories! The Hirschpark is close to where I live. My favorite park is the Jenischpark (a little further east from the Hirschpark). Thank you for your comment!
These are really good. I wanted to point out my favourite diptych but the more I looked the more I found something admirable about more and more of 'em. I do really like the tonal interplay with the first set, and I'm a sucker for light beams through trees, and I love the one with your dog. The one with the photo of the leaves on the tree stump (I believe) is wonderful. Nice that you were able to have something like this despite the frustrations with IT.
That was before I knew the hard drives were broken and how much it will all cost me. I still had my hopes up that it‘s only a software malfunction and all will be good.
The diptych are very diverse - some easily approachable because of the visual similarities (the first one for example) other have a deeper meaning more symbolic meaning to me.
I am so excited to see how people react to them! So interesting!
Especially the portraits of your dog and the tree paired together. And I love the pairing of the lake and the bottom half of the statue. Completely different subjects but the aesthetics of the shadow across the legs and what looks like mist (?) on the lake - they compliment each other.
Thank you, Teresa! Happy to see, they resonate with you. Some are more obvious, other I have paired because of their symbolism for me. And the lake and the statue was more intuitive - the play of light on the lake and on the leg - as you observed so well. It is so interesting to read everyone’s reactions to these diptychs.
I love that new format!
The light that day was perfect, you were lucky!
Thank you! Yes, the light that day was very mich needed. Not only for my photography, but for my soul too!
Really love these diptychs! I am a big fan oof creating diptychs and these are so beautifully composed!
Thanks so much! I enjoyed making these. It is an interesting experience to see how these seemingly come together.
I really love how you have curated the images here 🖤
Thank you, Jenna! It was as if that what the images wanted.

These are so cool! I really like the wavy line uniting the first two images, and the near-and-far aspect of the last two images.
Thank you Sydney! Aesthetically the first one is my favorite too!
All wonderful!!
