Wonderful photos and a great idea to share as a photo/ visual diary of your walks. Can’t wait to see the Autumn colours in your photos. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you, Dawud! I have been sharing these for a year now and it is a great exercise. Not just the photographing part, but also curating and sequencing them. So good to hear you enjoy that format!
I have loads of photos from our holiday in Scotland and just wondering how to curate those. I was thinking of photo diaries with some commentary. Your post gives a great sense of the journey and how sometimes when we take our time we can often see things that we would otherwise just walk past.
Thank you for your feedback, Dawud! I write very little, sometimes anything at all, because I’ll let the photos talk. And yes, we often overlook the small things around us. Having my camera with puts me in the mode to observe more consciously.
The way the light changes at the end of Summer always rings the changes for me as we drift into the "season of mellow fruitfulness". I feel I can see the start of that in this great set of images with their muted warm colours.
I wish they were my own words - they're from To Autumn by John Keats, I always think of that line at this time of year with its soft mists and golden light.
Another wonderful walk! I am most noticing the shorter days. Going to work every day is a little different due to the sun coming up later and creates different shadows and tones. Same in the PM. Coming soon, crisp nights and warm tones of changing foliage...
Thank you Paul! Yes, the days are definitely getting shorter, which is a bit sad. But last the two days were significantly cooler and I realized how much I enjoyed it. There is just something beautiful about every season.
The last photo a pictorial representation of "the dog days of summer" :)
Haha, true!

“Season of mellow fruitfulness” - I like that! I loved that passage from Summer to Autumn. Thank you for your comment!

Lovely photographs
Thank you, Buku
Did you gift Ben to your neighbor? It’s clear that he misses you.
I would never give my dog away. And I don’t think he would want with our neighbors! 🤣
Nice picturesque photos! Thanks!
Thank you for looking, Jane!
Picture 9 is a painting
Lovely images, Susanne. I felt I was on that walk with you...
