These are terrific! Serene and beautiful. This type of photography is my favorite. There’s something about the quiet corners of the home that really speaks to me. They’re intimate and human, without showing humans in them. However, the best ones are the ones with Ben. The one with him behind the sheer curtain is precious. And his paws! 😍 - Can you tell I’m a dog lover!! A photo with a dog in it will always be my favorite!
Xavi, this is great feedback! I am glad you still can see "me" in these photos. I clearly was inspired by Batho, but was hoping to photograph without just copying. Thanks so much!
This is truly great and inspiring work! I have such a hard time photographing/documenting everyday life, this is a great reminder to start paying more attention to what's around us.
Good, good stuff Susanne! I love the image of Ben behind the curtain. And the fly on the sill is a favorite as well. I haven't had a chance to read your Batho piece yet...but will back track on that one and am looking forward to it!
Nice set. I really like this minimalist aesthetic. So many photographers are trying for the grandiose; saturated sunsets and mountain vistas that all start to look alike after a while. But your attention to visual detail in these images sets them apart.
Thank you very much for the kind feedback, Don! I would agree with you, but I respect people's decision to photograph the grandiose if that is what they feel like doing. It is not something I am after in my own work, and I am glad people appreciate the quiet everyday scenes.
Thanks so much, Anne! It is interesting how much harder it is for me to pay attention to my surroundings inside, compared to when I am on one of my walks. I am glad you like these.
You have a beautiful holiday home, Susanne🤍 I love the selfie with Ben, and the one where he's hiding behind the curtain just made me crack up over coffee😂
These are SO wonderful, Susanne!! I adored seeing the ones of Ben... not only does each photo have its own story but they all come together so well as one big story. Fantastic!!

Haha!, That could be a comment I made. Everything is better with a dog! ;-)
Thank you for your wonderful comment and feedback, Alicia. I really appreciate it!
Excellent foray into small scenes of every day life. Studying a master and delving into their style adds perspective to one’s own.
Thank you, Paul! It also shows you that the master's photographs look so effortless and easy to make - they are actually hard work!
I love the serenity in this series!! Beautiful BnW👌
Thanks so much, Leon!
This is very interesting. Totally different to what we're used to see but still feels very unique to you and your style.

Thank you for sharing the simplicity of everyday moments that you found in your new temporary location. Just lovely!
Thank you for taking the time to look and comment, Adri!
Beautiful and meaningful work, my friend. I love this.
Thanks so much! So happy to hear your thoughts on this.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, Leo! I have to say I find it much harder to pay attention at home than outside. But it is a great exercise.

Thanks so much, Nicole! I hope you will find the time to read about Batho. I am certain you will love her work (if you don’t know it already).

I missed this before, but I really like these!!!! The dog in the curtain is priceless, too.
Thank you, Donn! It was an interesting challenge finding these domestic scenes to photograph.
Oh, I love where your attention took you! Beautiful, quiet, intimate images. They speak to the extraordinary in the everyday.
Thanks so much, Anne! It is interesting how much harder it is for me to pay attention to my surroundings inside, compared to when I am on one of my walks. I am glad you like these.

Thanks, Suzy! It is not our own home, though. I hope you didn't spoil too much coffee! ;-)
Ah, I had to read it twice😁. But either way, it looked very homely😊
It is a beautiful house. I wish, I had one like this!
Wonderful; thanks so much for introducing me to Claude, and for sharing your images inspired by her practice.
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, Kelly! I really appreciate it!
Good challenge! Beautiful photos!
